HouseHows helps you work through a household problem or plan a job before you buy materials. Articles explain the checks and steps. Calculators turn your measurements into quantities, cutting lists and budgets.
How articles are prepared
HouseHows publishes under its site name. Guides draw on manufacturer instructions, public-agency guidance and worked calculations, with source links beside the relevant sections. AI tools assist with research, drafting and development. The site is a reference and planning resource, rather than a record of hands-on product testing.
Examples show their measurements and assumptions so you can repeat the calculation. Sample prices are labeled; dated retail references identify the seller and what is included. The calculation notes explain the formulas, rounding and limits.
Using a guide for your own home
Start with the symptom and identify the material or model. Follow the checks in order. Where a task involves electricity, structural work, hidden plumbing or hazardous materials, the guide identifies the point to get qualified help.
